CHINA EXPORTS
HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE
July total export volume DECREASED 10.4% year on year
GREEN tea accounted for 84.5% of total export volume
Average prices DECREASED 21.6% over the previous July to $3.92/kg
Exports of GREEN tea volume INCREASED 8.3% over July 2023
Exports of BLACK tea volume DECREASED 36.8% over the same time last year
US IMPORTS
HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE
Average price for GLOBAL imports was $4.30/kg, DOWN 5.6% over the previous July
YTD total China imports are UP 19.1% over 2023
Average price for CHINA imports was $4.17/kg, DOWN 30.5% over July 2023
40.6% of all GREEN tea import (volume) was from China, but only 17.3% of VALUE
32.1% of the month’s US ORGANIC tea import volume was from China
