HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE
YTD total imports from CHINA are UP 74.3% over 2024. This represents at least a 7-year high, and can be attributed (at least in part) to efforts to import more Chinese teas before tariffs came into effect.
Average price forimports from CHINA was $3.87/kg, DOWN 28.2% over January 2024
46.8% of YTD GREEN tea import (volume) was from China
YTD imports of GREEN from China are UP 75.5% over 2024
34% of the month’s US ORGANIC tea import volume was from China (UP 49.7% over YTD 2024)
