June Tea Report: 2025 China Exports & US Imports

Data from China Customs and the US Census Bureau (GATS) was recently published regarding China exports and US imports of tea for June 2025.

 

CHINA EXPORTS

HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE

• June total export volume INCREASED 3.3% year on year
• YTD totals are UP 6.9% over last year
• Exports of YTD GREEN tea volume INREASED 18.4% over YTD 2024
• Average prices DEREASED 0.5% over the previous June to $3.80/kg

US IMPORTS

 

HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE

• YTD total imports from CHINA are UP 6.3% over 2024
• Average price for imports from CHINA was $4.47/kg, UP 12.7% over June 2024
• 33.8% of YTD GREEN tea import (volume) was from China
• YTD imports of GREEN from China are UP 31.0%
• 16.1% of the month’s US ORGANIC tea import volume was from China (28.9% YTD)
