CHINA EXPORTS
HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE
June total export volume INCREASED 0.05% year on year
YTD total export volume is DOWN 3.1% over 2022
GREEN tea accounted for 83.4% of total export volume
Average prices DECREASED 13.5% over the previous June to $4.89/kg
Exports of GREEN tea volume INCREASED 0.9% over June 2022
Exports of BLACK tea volume INCREASED 13.6% over the same time last year
US IMPORTS
HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE
Average price for GLOBAL imports was $4.43/kg, UP 14% over the previous June
YTD total China imports are DOWN 32.9% over 2022
Average price for CHINA imports was $5.12/kg, UP 41.6% over June 2022
29% of all GREEN tea import (volume) was from China, but only 12.5% of VALUE
30.9% of the month’s US ORGANIC tea import volume was from China
