HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE
June total export volume DECREASED 2.2% year on year
GREEN tea accounted for 86.8% of total export volume
Average prices DECREASED 18.6% over the previous June to $3.98/kg
Exports of GREEN tea volume INCREASED 1.8% over June 2023
Exports of BLACK tea volume DECREASED 26.6% over the same time last year
US IMPORTS
HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE
Average price for GLOBAL imports was $4.27/kg, DOWN 3.6% over the previous June
YTD total China imports are UP 9.4% over 2023
Average price for CHINA imports was $3.96/kg, DOWN 22.6% over June 2023
24.8% of all GREEN tea import (volume) was from China, but only 11% of VALUE
39.6% of the month’s US ORGANIC tea import volume was from China
