China Production By Province: Anhui

Anhui Province has been a leading tea-producing province in China for several consecutive years. The seasonal monsoon climate gives it a hot, humid summers and cooler, dryer winters. It is known for several classic green and black teas.

Anhui Province belongs among the Eastern Belt of tea provinces in China.

Anhui teas play a role in commodity green teas for the export market, with much of its famous specialty teas remaining in the domestic market.

 

As shown in the charts below, Anhui has been a growing contributor to Eastern Belt production.
